Product Manager – Chemistry Products
Reports to: New Business Development Manager
Place of work: Baie D’Urfé (Montréal), Québec, Canada
Duties:
- Acts as a champion of this product category;
- Provides technical and sales support to SCP SCIENCE employees
- Provides technical support to customers and distributors.
- Support the technology transfer from Conostan to SCP SCIENCE
- Coordinate sales activity and manage relationships with major distributors
- Develop new products for the division
- Direct internal activity for new product development (Application lab, staff training, R & D, liaison with suppliers, marketing documentation, creation of new packaging, etc)
- Create product application “Recipe Books”
- Develop and present product technology seminars
- Meet quarterly and annual sales objectives
Essential Skills and Knowledge
- Strong sales skills, outgoing personality, excellent client approach;
- BSc in Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry is a must; an advanced degree in Chemistry would be an asset.
- Strong technical skills: able to develop, experiment with and present technical concepts; provide customers with hands-on technique for using our products
- Ability to travel
- Organized, enthusiastic, and able to prioritize and deliver results;
- Strong work ethic with a motivation and a dedication to work hard;
- Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in
English and in French; ability to prepare and deliver public presentations;
- Good network of professional contacts.
