Technical Support Specialist
Chromatographic Specialties Inc., a leading supplier of chromatography consumables and instrumentation to the Canadian scientific community, is in need of a qualified scientist to join our Technical Support Team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for our product lines. This responsibility includes handling technical issues, product performance problems, application support, and finding product equivalencies
- Work with our Technical Sales Representatives to effectively support and grow our customer base
- Prepare and present technical product training
- Provide marketing assistance
- Perform field support visits/customer visits as required; prepare for and participate in tradeshows as required
- Assist in investigating potential new suppliers or product lines
Skills Required:
- Chromatographic knowledge (i.e. HPLC, GC, Sample Preparation, Instrumentation) gained through education and at least one year of hands-on laboratory experience. Knowledge of lifescience laboratory practices and techniques is an asset
- Sales, technical marketing, scientific writing, customer service experience and bilingualism (English and French) are considered assets
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability and desire to travel as required
