Founded in 1997, Canadian Life Science, with its head office located in Peterborough, Ontario is a successful Canadian owned distributor of organic and inorganic analytical supplies, i.e. Chromatography and Spectroscopy supplies.

The company has grown substantially in recent years due to an enthusiastic team effort.

Canadian Life Science is seeking an Inside Sales Representative for the sales of analytical chemistry supplies.

This position will be based in Peterborough.

The successful candidate should be interested in a long-term career within a professional working environment and will be responsible for expanding the company’s client base and contribute substantially to the incremental growth of sales.

We are looking for a Go-Getter.

Main duties:
Maintain an existing territory by supporting customers via regular territory calls; some travel required
Determine customer needs and identify appropriate products to meet those needs
Actively seek and pursue new customers
Generate new leads and follow up properly to generate new business
Timely follow-up
Ensure top customer service as the customer advocate for the territory
Answer customer inquiries and provide information on products
Maintain prospect and client CRM system
Continuously upgrade knowledge of products, customers, sales techniques
Share market intelligence with the rest of the sales team

Essential skills and knowledge:
Chemistry degree or equivalent
Experience in sales is a plus
English is essential; an additional language would be an asset
Experienced professional with an excellent client approach
Organized, enthusiastic, able to prioritize and deliver results
Able to find creative solutions to client’s problems
Able to work independently, as well as in a team environment
Strong work ethic and motivation to get results
Computer knowledge
Excellent verbal communication skills
