
European Sales Manager
Role Priorities:

Position Responsibilities:
- Develops annual sales plan in support of organizational strategy and objectives;
- Builds, develops and manages sales teams capable of carrying out needed sales and service initiatives;
- Ensures effective use of available resources for the achievement of the business strategy and realization of the sales plan;
- Ensures identification and exploitation of new business opportunities;
- Directs implementation and execution of sales policies and practices for our direct customers as well as our suppliers. ;
- Management of sales team (3 representatives) & distributors with administrative manager reporting. This includes recruitment, sales training, coaching, and motivating as well as performance management.
- Over see and monitor distributor relationships: regular visits, demonstrations, on going training.
- Recommends sales strategies for improvement based on market research and competitor analyses;
- Management of the local marketing activities.
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients
- Presence at expositions and trade shows
- Continuously improving professional knowledge on our products as well as our industry.
- Supervises commercial policy in the region;
- Submits weekly reports on activities;
- Communicates effectively inside the company, across functions, to ensure the best service for customers;
- Active participation in annual inventory
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Reporting to this position are:
- 3 Sales Representatives in France + Administration Manager with 3 people
Essential Skills and Experience
- Leadership: a demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others;
- Planning: an ability to think ahead and plan over a 1-2 year time span;
- Effective management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities;
- Sales and service systems development and deployment;
- Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level;
- Technical skills in strategic planning and sales planning;
- Employee training and development;
- Strong customer orientation;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including presentation skills;
- Ability to build and manage high performance teams; a strong team player;
- Commitment to company values.
Education Required:
- BSc Chemistry, atomic spectroscopy exposure preferred.
Beneficial Skills and Experience
- MBA;
- Sales management within the chemical lab instruments and supplies environment;
- Computer/Software proficiency (Office, ERP, CRM, BI);
- Bilingualism (English/French a must) knowledge of other languages a valuable asset
